It has always been the aim of the Friends of Spencer Park to renovate the pavilion for use as a community cafe, a children’s party venue, an exhibition space and community hub.

In March 2025, work began on these renovations after several years of fundraising by the Friends group and on Saturday 14 February 2026, the Spencer Park Community Café opened its doors for the first time.

Opening times are as follows:
Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 
11:00am – 4:00pm
